Well, at least the grandparents will cheer when they hear that on Saturday, our second to last game of the season, we won, 10 to 6. Gabe played the entire game, no bench warming involved and hit a triple a single and made an out while playing 2nd base. It’s enough to make a parent want to post a new blog entry…

Por Fin, Ganamos! (Finally, We Won!)
Well, at least the grandparents will cheer when they hear that on Saturday, our second to last game of the season, we won, 10 to 6. congrats to gabe and the entire team! reyna was on a team this fall that had a mostly losing season -- we know how thrilling that first win can be :)
I hope Reyna grew from the experience. It can be difficult to be on a losing team...really tests your character in some unique ways.
yes, i think reyna learned a lot more on her losing fall team than on her winning summer team -- mostly coz she had a bigger role, both in terms of playing time and in leadership -- it was actually a wonderful experience for her (at least from our parental perspective)
I'll enjoy watching Reyna play sometime...perhaps this coming Spring or Summer.
